Chamber Summary
The grade for each chamber appears here after Calculate.

LV Geometry and RV Systolic Function

LV Geometry
Enter IVSd, PWd, LVIDd, sex, height and weight (or the LV mass index), then select Calculate.
LV Geometry at a Glance

Mass index decides hypertrophy; relative wall thickness (2 × PWd / LVIDd) decides concentric versus eccentric.

RV Systolic Function
Enter TAPSE and at least one of S′, FAC or RV strain, then select Calculate.

H2FPEF Score

Items are selected automatically from the resting values where available. Any item can be changed.

Score
0

Bands from the original derivation: 0–1 low, 2–5 intermediate, 6–9 high probability of HFpEF.

An educational toolkit for cardiovascular disease fellows-in-training. Each section applies concurrent guidelines to entered measurements, shows the criteria and cutoffs used, explains the result and provides practice cases with feedback.

    Supporting Methods
    • Body surface area: Mosteller formula, √(height × weight / 3600).
    • LV mass: ASE cube formula, 0.8 × 1.04 × [(IVSd + LVIDd + PWd)³ − LVIDd³] + 0.6 g.
    • LV size, volume and mass severity bands: ASE/EACVI 2015 Supplemental Table 3. LA diameter bands: ASE 2005.
    • Sinuses of Valsalva: expected diameter for age and BSA (Roman equations); upper limit = expected + 1.96 × SEE; aortic root index = observed / expected.
    • Prosthetic aortic valve: ASE 2024 Figure 13 (Vmax, jet contour, DVI and acceleration time); prosthetic regurgitation: Figures 16 and 21.
    • Valve areas and stroke volumes: continuity equation; PISA EROA = 2πr² × aliasing velocity / peak regurgitant velocity.
    • Massive and torrential tricuspid regurgitation: proposed 5-grade scale (Hahn and Zamorano 2017), shown as a note only.
    • RA pressure from IVC size and collapse: 3, 8 or 15 mm Hg (ASE right heart recommendations).
    • Deceleration time from pressure half-time: DT = PHT / 0.29 (not part of the ASE 2025 guideline).

Calculations run on this computer; no data leaves it.
